The region’s top reggae artists are spending their Sundays this summer at the Music Box! We’re serving up fabulous and FREE roots reggae, along with Jamaican food and drink specials on Sunday afternoons this summer. Catch some rays and some reggae while it’s hot.
Why you should see this show…
Tom Batchelor’s original compositions range from straight forward rock and funk, to reggae and island romps. Live, they enjoy exploring all the realms of improvisational possibilities within the song structures, delving into genres as diverse as jazz, ska, and country.
The Tom Batchelor Band Bio
In November 1999, Tom Batchelor formed The Tom Batchelor Band. The band consists of Tom on guitar and vocals, Gregg Lowley on drums and vocals Robert DeSutter on bass, Will Oxley on alto sax, Dave Scott on trombone, and David Haley on keyboards. Each member brings many years of experience on their instrument, and extensive knowledge of wide ranging musical styles to the band. The core of what they do consists of reggae and rock covers, as well as originals from these and other genres.
Reggae Sundays Guest Guidelines
To ensure an enjoyable experience for everyone, please observe the following:
- Doors open at 3:30pm. Absolutely no early entry will be allowed.
- Reggae Sundays have limited seating available on a first-come, first-served basis. Saving seats for later-arriving guests is not allowed.
- Entry is through the venue’s front door only. Climbing over the outdoor fence is strictly prohibited, as is entry through side doors.
- All silver outdoor chairs must remain on the riverside deck. The silver chairs may not be moved inside, or to the boardwalk.
- To ensure a safe, fun environment, Music Box does not allow bubble-making devices, balloons, or similar objects on site.
