The region’s top reggae artists are spending their Sundays this summer at the Music Box! We’re serving up fabulous and FREE roots reggae, along with Jamaican food and drink specials on Sunday afternoons this summer. Catch some rays and some reggae while it’s hot.

The Luv Locz Experiment is a dynamic collective of leaders in the Caribbean Funk scene, embodying more than just a band – it’s a movement. Rooted in the ethos that “Love Locks Us Together,” the collective unites members from Dayton and its sister city Cincinnati to create an eclectic and soulful sound.

Anchored by their core values of love, perseverance, and self-discovery, Luv Locz Experiment has been curating spaces that bring people together and elevating communities through music and connection since their formation in Dayton, OH, in 2016. After the release of their debut album Honey(2021) their sophomore project Strange Fruit (2023), shows their evolution over the years as it has solidified their position on the scene, sharing stages with reggae icons like Etana, Chuck Fender, Mike Luv, Tony Rebel, and Mutabaruka, and performing beyond U.S. borders to Jamaica, and Costa Rica
The band’s music is a testament to their collective journey – building a family united by a shared purpose to uplift and inspire. Their sound carries the positive frequency of togetherness, inviting listeners to join a movement of positivity, gratitude, and authentic connection. With their Caribbean Funk sound and the unifying power of One Love, Luv Locz Experiment honors the essence of music as a tool for change, healing, and celebration. Reggae Sundays Guest Guidelines
To ensure an enjoyable experience for everyone, please observe the following:
- Doors open at 3:30pm. Absolutely no early entry will be allowed.
- Reggae Sundays have limited seating available on a first-come, first-served basis. Saving seats for later-arriving guests is not allowed.
- Entry is through the venue’s front door only. Climbing over the outdoor fence is strictly prohibited, as is entry through side doors.
- All silver outdoor chairs must remain on the riverside deck. The silver chairs may not be moved inside, or to the boardwalk.
- To ensure a safe, fun environment, Music Box does not allow bubble-making devices, balloons, or similar objects on site.
