Former General Manager of Ken Stewarts East Bank, Blue Point Grille Brings Fine Dining Flair

MitchellGrattan-Edited-250Cleveland, OH, November 17, 2014 – Cleveland’s newest waterfront dining, music and private events venue the Music Box Supper Club (www.musicboxcle.com) is pleased to announce the addition of Mitchell Grattan to its staff. The Fairview Park native, who has previously held management positions at Blue Point Grille, Ken Stewarts East Bank and Beau’s On The River, will become the VP of Operations, overseeing all aspects of the Music Box’s restaurant and kitchen.

“We’re thrilled to have Mitchell join our team,” says the Music Box’s co-owner, Mike Miller. “He has a long track record of success working in some of Northeast Ohio’s best restaurants, and transforming them into destinations known for their impeccable service and quality food. We expect he’ll elevate the Music Box’s dining experience in similar ways.”

To the Music Box—which is located on the Flats West Bank near Shooters, the Improv and Cleveland Aquarium—Grattan brings over a decade of experience working with all facets of restaurant operations, from staff management and guest relations development to back office support. While general manager of the Intercontinental Hotel’s Classics Restaurant, the establishment received the prestigious AAA Five Diamond rating; during his tenure as general manager at the Blue Point Grille, the Warehouse District staple grew into a paragon of culinary excellence, receiving Cleveland magazine’s Silver Spoons awards for “Best Seafood” and “Best Service.” Grattan was also part of the team that opened Ken Stewarts East Bank, which has become a cornerstone of the Flats East Bank renaissance.

In addition to his restaurant experience, he is also a wine connoisseur; in fact, he passed the Court of Master Sommeliers course examination in 2008. “The Music Box is a beautiful space in an unparalleled location—right on the water,” Grattan says. “It’s no surprise that in just a few short months, the venue has become one of the most unique places in Cleveland to not only listen to music—but to do so while having nice meal and a cocktail. I’m excited to join the rest of the Music Box team as we look toward future growth.”
