Think: X Bio
Think: X, featuring Pink Floyd alumni Scott Page and Roberta Freeman, is a groundbreaking tribute that reimagines the iconic band’s music through a dark, heavy lens. The band isn’t just a homage — it’s a reinvention, one that honors the spirit of Pink Floyd while forging entirely new sonic territory. With an all-star lineup of musicians including Kenny Olson, Norwood Fisher, Stephen Perkins, Will Champlin, and Derek Day, Think: X crafts an immersive audio-visual journey that pushes the boundaries of live performance.

Scott Page, who played saxophone and rhythm guitar for Pink Floyd during their A Momentary Lapse of Reason era, brings a deep, textural layer to the group’s sound. His dynamic stage presence and sonic experimentation echo the psychedelic roots of Floyd, while his years performing with Supertramp and Toto enrich his musical versatility. Page’s ability to blend jazz, rock, and visual storytelling plays a key role in shaping the band’s multidimensional shows.

Roberta Freeman, whose powerful backing vocals were a key component of Pink Floyd’s Division Bell tour, delivers electrifying performances that anchor Think: X’s emotionally charged reinterpretations. A veteran of the stage, Freeman has lent her voice to legends like Guns N’ Roses and Cinderella, but it’s her soulful intensity and command of tone that elevate the band’s heavier, blues-driven renditions of Floyd classics.

On lead guitar, Kenny Olson, best known as a founding member of Kid Rock’s Twisted Brown Trucker Band, injects a searing rock ‘n’ roll edge into Think: X’s arrangements. His gritty, soulful playing adds fire and depth to songs reimagined with a darker twist, grounding them in raw, emotional power.

Norwood Fisher, the legendary bassist from Fishbone, brings funk, punk, and experimental energy to the rhythm section. His fearless approach to groove adds a layer of unpredictability, driving the band’s reinterpretations into uncharted territory while maintaining a solid, hypnotic pulse.

Drummer Stephen Perkins, of Jane’s Addiction and Porno for Pyros fame, provides a tribal, kinetic heartbeat that fuels Think: X’s live performances. Known for his intricate rhythms and percussive creativity, Perkins transforms each show into a ritualistic, high-energy experience that goes far beyond traditional rock drumming.

Will Champlin, a singer-songwriter and keyboardist who rose to fame on The Voice and whose lineage includes the legendary Bill Champlin of Chicago, brings a melodic and harmonic richness to the group. His vocals and piano work add a cinematic quality to the band’s reinterpretations, bridging classic rock with a contemporary emotional edge.

Rounding out the lineup is Derek Day, a charismatic frontman and guitarist known for his explosive live energy and genre-defying style. Day’s youthful fire and vocal intensity inject a fresh, modern feel into the band’s performances, making even the most familiar Floyd songs feel urgent and new.

Together, Think: X delivers an electrifying concert experience that merges deep musical history with bold reinvention. From the heavy guitar riffs and jazz-inflected saxophone lines to Freeman’s soaring vocals and surround-sound visuals that envelop the audience, each member adds their unique flavor to a collective vision. The result is a tribute that doesn’t just play Pink Floyd’s music — it explores and expands it, inviting fans into a darker, more layered dimension of the band’s legendary catalog while honoring the collaborative, genre-pushing spirit that has defined Floyd’s legacy for nearly six decades.
