Pure Traditional Irish

Why you should see this show…

The Portersharks have been a favorite on the local Irish circuit since the 1908s with their beautifully rendered, classically Celtic sound. Combining the best Irish traditional music with folk songs has always been the goal of the band. This is not your average run of the mill Irish band. Francis is a master on the fiddle when it comes to the pure tradition of Irish music.

The Portersharks Bio
The Portersharks were formed in the late 1980s by guitarist/vocalist Bill Chambers and fiddler Francis Quinn, two friends sharing an interest in the music of Ireland. (Percussionist Brendan Carr and their newest member—County Clare, Ireland, native Patrick Custy on the Irish wood flute—rounds out their lineup.) Fortunate enough for them, people enjoy when the band plays tunes and sings some songs, so they’ll keep doing just that. Slainte!
