Odyssey & Company Bio
Randall Priest, Randell McShepard, and Anthony Rice are responsible for the electrifying vocals that Odyssey & Company is known for at their live performances. Tight harmonies, skillful choreography and debonair stage apparel has been a signature of the group since its inception in the 1980s as a high school doo-wop group. The group’s professionalism and solid reputation as a “show band” over the years has led to many opportunities to open for major recording artists including After 7, Levert, Take Six, The Manhattans, the SOS Band, and the Average White Band, to name a few.

The group has released many singles that received significant airplay in several cities throughout the Midwest, the East Coast and the South, including “Young Girl,” “She’s Perfect,” and “A Whisper Away” (Produced by William Howard of the Dramatics). In the 1990s, the group recorded an album under the tutelage of the O’Jays’ lead producer, Dwayne Mitchell. Each of the vocalists has also recorded extensively with other groups and on other projects.

Another claim to fame for the group has been its extensive travel and ability to win over fans in cities including Guantanamo Bay, Cuba; Yokohama, Japan; Toronto, Canada, New York City and throughout the State of Ohio. The group also performed on the national talent search television show, Big Break, which was hosted by Natalie Cole. The NBC show was televised in 120 U.S. cities.

The group attributes its longevity and staying power to a “deep respect for the history of Rhythm and Blues and Jazz and the entertainers of yesteryear.” The group believes that crooning, choreography and showmanship is a dying art that needs to be highlighted and celebrated for current and future generations.

Odyssey and Company is currently working on a recording project while continuing to perform at live concerts in the Cleveland area and beyond. The project’s first two singles, “Tune It Out,” and “Would You? Could You?” were released in 2016 and received favorable airplay and reviews. Those singles were followed by the release of “Wait Until Tonight” which reached #15 on the Mediabase Syndicated Smooth Jazz Radio Network playlist in August of 2017. The group’s latest release, “Serious” is expected to do extraordinarily well with its strong blend of Latin Jazz, R&B and Funk.

The Band with No Name Bio
In 2010, Myron Gardner founded “The Band with No Name,” originally envisioned as a project to showcase some of Cleveland’s finest musicians alongside him as the drummer. Over the years, the band has evolved and opened for major artists like Walter Beasley and Joe McBride. Currently, the lineup includes permanent members: Myron Gardner on drums, Joseph Eff on keyboards, Jeff Johnson on bass, Victor Smiley on guitar, and vocalists Heather and Cordero.

Myron Gardner, the creator and owner of “The Band with No Name,” grew up immersed in music, inspired by his father’s band, where he played the trumpet. Attending his father’s gigs, rehearsals, and concerts ignited Myron’s passion for live performances that continues to this day.

His formal musical education began in elementary school when he started playing the trombone, later transitioning to drums at the Cleveland School of the Arts. After high school, Myron dedicated himself to a full-time career as a musician, exploring a diverse range of genres, including reggae, jazz, blues, pop, rock, Christian, R&B, soul, and funk.

Throughout his career, Myron has had the privilege of performing alongside notable artists such as Chante Moore, Roy Ayers, and Ollie Woodson of the Temptations. He has also toured with esteemed acts like LeVert, Pamela Williams, Cuba Gooding Sr., Joe McBride, and various local bands.
