Why you should see this show…

Long time Northeast Ohio music veteran Ken Margolis returns to Cleveland for a very special show, complete with his band filled with CLE music royalty!

Joining Ken for this show is a who’s who of iconic area musicians, featuring Jim Bonfanti, Randy Klawon, Paul Christensen, Bill March, Jennifer Lee, and Tonja Schleicher.

Every one of these musicians is successful in their own right. Ken, Jim, and Randy are all alumni of legendary area ’60s band The Choir, and Jim was also a co-founding member of the million selling band Raspberries. Paul and Jennifer were decades-long members of Michael Stanley and The Resonators, and Bill was a member of ‘80’s sensation Beau Coup.

The show will feature Ken’s original songs from his solo release, 2023’s Hope And Courage, as well as originals from Randy, Paul and Bill, plus some classic covers that are sure to please!

Don’t miss the only opportunity to see this great showcase of some of the best musicians ever to come out of Northeast Ohio!

Ken Margolis Bio
Born in the outskirts of Cleveland, Ohio, Ken Margolis is an accomplished songwriter, keyboardist, and vocalist.  Throughout the early years in Cleveland, he played keyboards and was a contemporary with many of the up-and-coming musicians in the early stages of their careers including Wally Bryson, Joe Walsh, Joe Vitale, Eric Carmen, Michael Stanley and others – like them he thrived in the creativity of that musical renaissance. In the process, he shared the stage with many luminaries such as The Who, Herman’s Hermits, Bo Diddley, Jerry Lee Lewis, Bobby Womack, and others. He appeared at the “Topping the Rock” Ceremony at the Rock ’n Roll Hall of Fame, the Tri-C Rock Festival, and the Undercurrents Showcases.

Ken first began recording as a member of the popular ’60s band, The Choir. He sang lead on their single “Gonna Have a Good Time Tonight” and later recorded the songs which were released on two Choir CDs as Artifact and the live recording Last Call by Omnivore Recordings. He rejoined his bandmates in 2006, 2018, & 2019 for the wildly successful reunion concerts of the Choir that took place at The Beachland Ballroom and The Music Box.

Now living in Santa Cruz, California, he continues to play and record with many of the Bay Area’s top musicians in a variety of projects – primarily in his own band, Ken Margolis and Friends, and the traveling Americana jam band Edge of the West. In the process he has been writing songs that explore the intersection of human struggle and the natural world – resulting in a long anticipated album collaboration with his son Ethan Margolis (Emaginario) as producer, arranger, and guitarist. The album, entitled Hope and Courage is a powerful tribute to authenticity in songwriting. Ken is grateful for the contributions to the album by many top session musicians including Gary Novak, Jimmy Haslip, Ariel Posen, Reggie Hamilton, Bob Sheppard, Munyungo Jackson, Diego Álvarez, Ethan Margolis among others.
