The bandleader, trumpeter, singer and kid from Mentor, Brian Newman, is back at the Music Box with an All-Star 16 Piece Orchestra! Featuring Cleveland native, master saxophonist and arranger, Steve Kortyka and 14 of our favorite musicians from Cleveland!
These fine musicians will take you on a classic musical journey through the Great American Songbook. From Gershwin to Tony Bennett, Nirvana, Willie Nelson, Sting and beyond, Newman and the orchestra will have you laughing, singing, crying, reminiscing of days gone by and transcended in the future of music ahead.
Brian Newman Bio
Newman’s influences of Miles Davis, Chet Baker and the Great American Songbook make room for the modern songbook through his love of artists such as Nirvana, Willie Nelson, Earth Wind & Fire, Thin Lizzy, Bruce Springsteen, The Police and much more.
Brian and the band recently recorded and created orchestrations the record Harlequin by Lady Gaga and made an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel. The band was also a featured on the soundtrack for the movie Joker 2: Folie A Deux.
After his debut album for Verve Records, featuring the legendary Lady Gaga and his All-Star Band, this superb follow up album Electric Lounge really hits the spot.
Newman, co-produced with Lady Gaga the track, “La Vie En Rose,” featured in the film A Star Is Born. Brian was also the bandleader, arranger, and trumpeter for Lady Gaga’s & Tony Bennett’s Cheek to Cheek album and tour. Brian did the same for the duos 6-time Grammy nominated album Love for Sale. Brian is the on-going bandleader and arranger for Lady Gaga’s Jazz & Piano show during her Las Vegas residency.
Brian also has his own late night Vegas residency at the Park MGM’s Nomad Library, called Brian Newman: AFTER DARK. It has featured Terence Blanchard, Lady Gaga, Ashanti, Robbie Krieger, and many more. This widely heralded latenight romp is truly where the Old Vegas vibes never sleep.
Brian is also currently the Musical Director of ‘The Pinky Ring’ by Bruno Mars, with whom Newman works closely with to curate extremely talented musicians to fulfill and realize Mr. Mars’ many musical influences at the Bellagio in Las Vegas. Newman recently was the musical director while opening Jon Batiste’s new venue, The Jazz Club in the Bahamas.
He is former Creative Director & Anchor Performer at the Jazz Club at the Aman New York. An elegant, exclusive, and state-of-the-art, subterranean, music lovers’ paradise in the heart of Manhattan where the space he curated still cradles the best musical acts that New York City has to offer, 5 nights a week. Brian was also the anchor performer and programming director for the Roxy Hotel and the Django when they rebranded in 2015.
Newman’s partner, Angie Pontani is a world-famous Burlesque performer, producer, choreographer, and costumer. Newman and Pontani work closely together to bring their entertainment visions & dreams to life.

Our Concert Hall menu is fast to the table and allows you to dine right in your ticketed seat. Tableside food service will start when doors open and the kitchen will close approximately halfway through the show. Tableside beverage service will continue throughout the concert.
