Sound Check: Patrick Sweany will conjure ‘Ancient Noise’ at Music Box Supper Club

On Thursday, Music Box Supper Club welcomes one of Northeast Ohio’s own in the smart-suited, guitar-slinging visage of Patrick Sweany.

The Massillon-bred, Nashville-based singer, songwriter and guitarist is pumping his eighth album Ancient Noise, an 11-track record that encompasses Sweany’s well-honed strengths. For fans, the album opener, Old Time Ways, offers the familiar, stomping, up-tempo, electric blues and old-school rock sound along with head-nodding groovers such as the simmering, swamp funk of No Way No How and the let’s-stay-together pleading of Get Along.
