Colin Hay keeps Cleveland in stitches…and song
Colin Hay’s been busy these last few years (decades, in fact) remodeling himself from former Men at Work front man to solo acoustic troubadour.
The transformation’s been successful, but Hay himself would be first to admit he’s a constant work in progress.
Hay’s always been a string-strumming, storytelling bard at heart—a spiritual pilgrim with things to say and the requisite musical skills to deliver his messages and anecdotes in style. You might say the world is finally getting a taste of the real Colin, and that his time promulgating ‘80s pop-rock with Ron Strykert, Greg Ham and the boys was the true (if temporarily triumphant) departure.
