ESPN to Broadcast Live from the Music Box when NBA Finals are in Cleveland
Music Box is excited to have been chosen as the broadcast location when ESPN2’s highest rated daytime program – First Take — broadcasts from Cleveland during the NBA finals starting on Tuesday, June 9. The public is both encouraged and welcome to attend the tapings.
First Take is the highest rated program on ESPN2, broadcasting Monday through Friday from 10am-12pm. The show features unrivaled duo of Stephen A. Smith and Skip Bayless debating the hottest topics in sports alongside host Cari Champion. The show includes daily sports news, interviews with sports journalists, athletes and personalities, spirited debates, and an assortment of other topics.
Throughout the series, the show will broadcast each morning at 10am ET Monday-Friday. On Tuesday and Thursdays, there will also be a live afternoon special that will run from 3:30pm until 4:30pm.
The show will broadcast from the Music Box starting Tuesday, June 9 and will continue through Friday June 12 with the following schedule:
Tuesday, June 9 from10am-12pm with additional live afternoon segment from 3:30pm-4:30pm
Wednesday, June 10 from 10am-12pm
Thursday, June 11 from 10am-12pm with additional live afternoon segment from 3:30pm-4:30pm
Friday, June 12 from 10am-12pm
If the Cleveland Cavaliers and Golden State Warriors get to Game 6, ESPN will be at Music Box on June 16 and 17 as well and will have the following schedule:
Tuesday, June 16 from 10am-12pm with additional live afternoon segment from 3:30pm-4:30pm
Wednesday, June 17 from 10am-12pm
The Music Box hopes that Clevelanders will want to attend the live taping, and show their support of the Cavaliers in their quest for the NBA Championship. Each day, the entry line and check-in for the public will begin 1.5 hours prior to show time — at 8:30 am or 2:00 pm — depending on whether it’s the morning or afternoon taping. Entrance and admission is on a first come, first serve basis.
Admission is free and there will be food and beverage available for purchase through the Music Box. Music Box will be offering lunch each day after the broadcast with a large screen TV for viewing a taping of the actual show.
Scheduled concerts for the week of June 9 as well as the week of June 16 will take place as planned. Please see www.musicboxcle.com for any updates or changes to doors or show times. The Rusty Anchor, Music Box’s new seafood & steaks first floor restaurant, will also be serving dinner at its regular hours starting at 5 p.m. each night of the week.
Thurs-Sun starting at 5 p.m. there will be live music taking place on our riverfront deck, an outdoor oyster and raw bar, turkey wraps, burgers, and sandwiches along with craft beer specials from Great Lakes Brewing Company.
