Story topic this week…

Cleveland – Always on the Wrong Side of History
Kelly Falcone Hall has been collecting, preserving, and sharing Cleveland’s history for over 22 years. As President and CEO of the Western Reserve Historical Society (WRHS), she has taken on the responsibility of educating Clevelanders about what happened fifty or hundreds of years ago. Kelly is truly someone who understands the story of Cleveland, and how it has notoriously fell on the wrong side of history.

Kelly Falcone-Hall Bio

Kelly Falcone-Hall joined the Western Reserve Historical Society in 1995 as an intern in the Archives/Library, and has held positions of increasing responsibility in Historical Research, Interpretation, Advancement, Governmental Relations, and Administration at both Hale Farm & Village in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park, and the History Center in University Circle. As President and CEO, she leads a team of Directors and professional staff with oversight of multiple WRHS divisions, and works collaboratively with a Board of Directors to engage the community and develop resources to support its mission.

The goal of the Cleveland Stories Dinner Party is to bring to life some of the fun, interesting stories about Cleveland’s past – from sports, to rock ‘n roll, to Millionaire’s Row, — the series will focus on tidbits from Cleveland’s past that will really thrill the audience. The Music Box is presenting this series in partnership with the Western Reserve Historical Society’s new Cleveland History Center. We think the Cleveland History Center is one of the most important museums in Cleveland. An unknown gem that Clevelanders should know more about, and support. It is the only museum in Cleveland dedicated to preserving and documenting the history of Cleveland. The Cleveland History Center includes two mansions, the Crawford Auto Aviation Museum, Chisholm Halle Costume Wing, Research Library, Kidzibits Hands-On Gallery, rotating exhibitions, and the Euclid Beach Park Grand Carousel.
