In The Heartland Bio
In The Heartland is hands down the closest thing fans can get to seeing the MICHAEL STANLEY BAND live! With original MSB member Danny Powers featured as a special guest.
In The Heartland is more than just a tribute band, it’s the ULTIMATE MSB experience taking “Tribute Band” to the next level playing ONLY the HITS…..the songs that take the fans right back to the nights at Blossom when MSB played to SOLD OUT audiences over multiple nights.
Danny Powers joined The Michael Stanley Band (MSB) in 1982 where he had the opportunity to tour the country playing on stages with countless rock legends such as Ringo Starr, Heart, 38 Special, Asia, Michael McDonald, Joe Walsh, Eddie Money and Donny Iris to name a few. With MSB he has recorded on 9 albums, performed in music videos and has made many television appearances including Solid Gold and American Bandstand.
For nearly 40 years, Danny has continued to play lead guitar for Michael Stanley playing live on stage, as well as working on all of Michael’s records as lead guitarist and studio technician up until Michael’s death in March of 2021. He also composes music for television series, as well as writing and recording music for his own solo material.
Currently, In The Heartland features Danny Powers and veteran Cleveland musicians including Johnny Sustar, Eric Brooke, Bill March, Michael Scott Nelson, and Mark Rasnick. With special guests Michael Gismondi and Gary Markasky. With attention to every musical detail, the quality of the band takes us back to the best time of our lives.
“We are dedicated to keeping the music of Michael Stanley alive.”
